No other state held anything on Pennsylvania last winter in the shot put. Five PA putters ranked inside the top 50 at the end of the indoor season. It took a throw of 54-10 just to qualify for the indoor state meet. AN incredible eight PA boys qualified for the "Championship" section at New Balance Nationals Indoor.

And, of course, at the top was Jordan Geist. Now at the University of Arizona, the Knoch thrower continually chased himself in the record books all season long. He won his third straight state title last winter, his second straight indoor national title, and threw a best of 76-10.5 at the TSTCA Championships.

Along with Geist, Evan Blaire, Kelton Chastulik, and Tom Bojalad have all graduated. So who's next? Who's ready to fill this void?

The state's only returning indoor state medalist is Keith Dreese of Selinsgrove. Dreese was a tremendously consistent performer last season and he got up over 56 feet at Susquehanna, setting the stage for his eighth place finish at states (wit...
