Wednesday's meet at Albright produced a number of strong performances.
Brendan Sparr pulled out a big jump. The Schuylkill Valley senior and two-time outdoor AA state champion, leapt 23-2 in the long jump. That is an indoor PR for Sparr by nearly a foot (his outdoor best is 23-11.25) and shoots him all the way up to PA#2.
Payden Montana of Berwick, fresh off her PA#1/US#2 heave in the shot put at Penn State over the weekend, showed off her consistency. She won the shot put handily with a toss of 45-10.5, just an inch off her indoor PR and state-leading throw from the weekend.
Twin Valley's Kayla Gillen matched her season best and PA#3 in the high jump. Gillen cleared 5-4 for her second win of the season in the event.
