Pennsylvania Indoor Week 9 Meets On Tap

DVGTCA Meet #7 - Meet Preview

SPRINTS/HURDLES

We can expect plenty of talent in the sprints, hopefully headlined by Pennridge's Kouri Peace. The junior and state record holder is entered in both the 60 meters and the 200 meters. We've only seen Peace once this season in a 300 meters, so we'll see if she can go after state qualifiers on Friday.

In the 60 meters, Conestoga's Grace Lanouette is entered. The senior is PA#2 in both the 55 and 60 meters, so she'll try to improve upon her time of 7.69 in the 60. Neumann Goretti's Eliza Brooks, Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren, and Friends' Central's Bailie Stovall are also entered in this deep 60 meter field.

In the 200 meters, we should see Peace, along with Swenson's Jada Smith, Neumann Goretti's Mykala Perry, Coatesville's Arianna Eberly, and Penn Wood's Tatiyana LaylorThe 600 meters should be a fast race, with Coatesville's Sammie Miller and Cardinal O'Hara's Christine Mancini in the field.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Exeter's Symone Foster and Neumann Goretti's Sydni Townsend are the top seeds in a race that could see those two dip under 9 seconds.

DISTANCE

The 3,000 meters will feature the two top District 1 XC runners from this past fall. North Penn's Ariana Gardizy, the D1 XC champ, is the top seed for Friday, looking to improve upon her PA#3 spot. Coatesville's Brooke Hutton is also in the field. Look, as well, for O'Hara's Eleanor Mancini, Teagan Schein-Becker, and Central's Emma HelstromIn the 800 meters, watch for Academy of Notre Dame's Jessica Schneider, the top seed in that field.

FIELD

Perk Valley's Warren will be the one to watch in the long jump. She sits at PA#5 and could be due for a big jump this weekend. Neshaminy's Briana Fredericks enters the weekend at PA#6 in the triple jump. Look for her to try and match her 36-9.5 jump from early in the season on Friday.

In the high jump, look for a good battle for the win between Quakertown's Kacey Lambinus, Council Rock North's Kate Donnelly, and Central Bucks East's Abby Eisold. Lambinus and Donnelly have both cleared 5-4 this season and are tied at PA#6.

Methacton's Camaryn Rodriguez is the top seed in the pole vault, while Haverford's Cecilia Katcavage is the one to beat in the shot put.
