Girls Recap

Marlee Starliper clocked the fastest December mile time in high school history, per the MileSplit database. The Northern junior went 4:47 to run away with the invitational mile win. Using her XC fitness. Read more HERE.

Sanaa Hebron of George School kept her great start to her career rolling. The freshman standout won both the 300 and 400 meters in a busy day on Saturday. Hebron went 38.79 for the 300 victory and then 55.04 to win the 400 meters. Both times are PA#1s.

Norristown's Teliyah James went 7.24 in the 55 meter prelims, a PA#3 time.

Liliana Cohen of Germantown Academy picked up the pole vault win for the second straight week. Cohen cleared 12-00, matching her season best.

Also from GA, Meaghan Toscano won the shot put with a throw of 36-07.5.


Boys' Recap

Savion Hebron of Neshaminy followed up his great season-opening performance at Ursinus with a big day at the Armory. The senior sprinter captured wins in the 300 meters and the 400 meters, both times notching state-leading marks. In the 300, Hebron went 34.27 for the win. In the 400 meters, he went 49.19 to better his own PA#1 in the event.

In the 55 meters, Devon Tate of Lower Merion picked up the win in the finals, running 6.51, a tick faster than his time last week and improving on his own PA#2. Hebron, who beat Tate in the event last week at Ursinus, took second in the 55 finals.

Caleb Johnson of Germantown Academy started off his season well, winning the pole vault with a clearance of 15-00. It's a strong start to the season for Johnson, who won with a 14-06 jump at the same meet last year.
