Overview: Owens has wasted little time getting acquainted with the collegiate scene. In his first heptathlon at a Trojan, the 2018 North Allegheny graduate scored 5,642 to win at the Texas Tech Shootout and break the USC school record. The versatile Owens was second at New Balance Nationals Indoor in the pentathlon a year ago this weekend. Now a college freshman, Owens will head to Birmingham for the NCAA Championships. He is seeded 14th of the 16 entries in the hep.
