David Lucas (Warwick; Penn State University)
Event: Men's Weight Throw
Overview: Lucas, a 2015 Warwick graduate, comes into this weekend's NCAA Championships as the defending champion in the weight throw. Last winter, he uncorked a big PR of 78-09.75 to take home the NCAA back to Penn State. The junior has a season best this year of 73-08.75 and is seeded ninth in the 16 man field. A year ago, he entered seeded sixth and came out on top. He'll look to orchestrate some of the same magic at NCAAs this time around as ell.
