It was cold and windy in Drexel Hill on Saturday for the Upper Darby Relays, but we got to see an interesting matchup between some of the state's top sprint relay squads.
The boys 4x100 meter relay gave a good glimpse into some strong boys relays to watch out for.
The host team Upper Darby got away well, but Motivation closed hard in the final two legs to win in 44.20. Upper Darby held on for second in 44.75 and Roman Catholic ran well for third in 44.93. Haverford Township showed it'll be a strong relay to reckon with, as well.
Motivation, a AA school, showed they may be the ones to beat in the classification this spring in the 4x1.
While we'll certainly see much faster times in better conditions as the season progresses, Saturday's 4x1 was a good benchmark in the event moving forward. Watch the race above and check out the results from the boys 4x1 below.
