Boys Javelin: Chris Fredericks (Palmerton Area) - 206-3
Fredericks put down a massive throw of 206-3 at a home dual meet to jet him up to the state's top spot and US No. 5. He's had a number of throws in the 180 foot range the past two years, and even a 192-6 from last summer, but it all came together for him this past week.
At the Shaner Memorial Meet, Wyomissing's Evan Niedrowski also joined the 200-foot club, tossing the javelin 201-11 to put him at PA No. 3 on the season. He's also the nation's No. 2 sophomore.
With a number of boys putting up some huge throws in the javelin, states should bring out the best on Ship's all-weather runway.
