Saturday would have brought us PTXC 12, another edition of the annual meet on the Farm Course at Kutztown University. Unfortunately, 2020 had other plans and this year's edition of the meet has been canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Last year at PTXC 11, there was a thrilling finish in the Boys' Gold race. Coming down to the line Calvert Hall (MD)'s Owen Johnson and Mendham (NJ)'s Jack Jennings were duking it out for the win. Johnson had the slight advantage, but Jennings was making his play for the win.
Watch the finish play out below.
Jennings earned the win in 15:46.20, edging out Johnson by .20 for the win. It was a terrific finish to the race between two top-notch out-of-state talents. That started Jennings' season, which ended in a ninth place finish at Foot Locker Nationals.
Meanwhile, Loudoun Valley rolled to yet another team title at PTXC, scoring just 27 points for the win, which was 84 points ahead of second.
