Amy Backel of Northern York High School won the Berks Elite Heptathlon with a score of 4252 points. The soon-to-be senior earned big point totals with a high jump of 5'5.75, and a javelin throw of 116'0. Recent Wyomissing graduate and 10-time state medallist Claire Abribat was second with a score of 3850 points, paced by her wins in the 100 hurdles (16.0) and the 800 meters (2:28.2). Wyomissing graduate Robin O'Hara was the meet's other 3000 point-scorer and finished third.
Northern York's Adam Nichol earned a convincing win in the decathlon with victories in 7 of the 10 events. The 2004 graduate's winning total was 5043 points. Ben Polins of Wyomissing took second place, as 2nd through 4th places were separated by a mere 25 points.
