Chloe Timberg made her way all the way up to PA No. 3 all-time indoors in the pole vault with a big performance at this weekend's VA Showcase in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Timberg, who was competing unattached but is a senior at Central Bucks West, cleared 13 feet, 4.5 inches to earn the win. That is the third best height in Pennsylvania history, trailing only Katie Jones' 13-9.25 from 2017 and Sydney Horn's 13-6 from last year. Timberg is now the tenth girl in state history to clear 13 feet or better in the pole vault.

Timberg now sits at PA No. 1 and US No. 3. Currently, Heather Abadie (13-6.5) from Lousiana and Tori Thomas (13-6) from Illinois have vaulted better than Timberg's 13-4.5 this year in the US.
Timberg cleared a best of 12-9 last indoor season. At the PTFCA Indoor State Championships, she jumped 12-0 to place fourth in the state. There was no official outdoor season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Her 13-4.5 clearance marks a big PR for the senior in official competition.
