Watch Guinness Brown Run 48.22 In The 400 Final

Guinness Brown has been the breakthrough sprinter of winter in Pennsylvania and he continued to show off his big improvements on Sunday.

Brown, a junior at Butler, went 48.22 for a huge PR in the Championship 400 meters to close out what's been a stellar weekend. He went 21.73 on Saturday to place fifth and he came back on Sunday for more hardware.

Brown got himself into the fastest section of the Championship 400m final after a strong prelim on Friday that saw him run a big PR of 49.05. Getting into the faster section proved to be big for Brown, who got out fast in the opening lap of the second of the two final sections on Sunday.

He was third at the break, and he stayed there, running along the rail the whole time to come home in 48.22, around eight-tenths better than his previous best, which he set a day earlier. He lopped off nearly a second on his PR from when he entered the weekend.

Brown is just a junior, so he's got plenty of time to continue to wow us in the sprints. He'll be one to watch this spring outdoors. Watch Brown's 400 race above.
