
Which PA throwers will be the ones to watch this season on the girls side? We looked at the top returners using 2019 and 2020 to figure that out.
Discus: It was quite the sophomore campaign for Siniru Iheoma of Council Rock South, who finished off her big 2019 spring with a AAA state title in the discus. Last year was pretty much wiped away, but Iheoma now returns for her senior season and it should be a big one. Iheoma threw a best of 152-7 two years ago. She saw some nice improvements in the shot put, so a big year could be coming in the disc, as well.
Last spring, Ashlyn Giles put down the best mark -- a 134-9 -- and after a big winter in the shot, Giles, too, should be in line for a strong spring in the discus. Easton's Jaiden Martellucci (128-1 best from 2019) and United's Maizee Fry (127-11) are among the other seniors that are worth keeping an eye on this season.
