St. John Kletter Wins, Pine-Richland Top Team At Legends

Mount Lebanon's Logan St. Kletter earned her third straight win on Saturday, while the Pine-Richland girls took the top team spot as Pennsylvania showed out in a big way at the Legends Meet in Ohio.

St. John Kletter pulled away from the field in some very muddy conditions to claim the win in the Large School race in 19:09. The sophomore went 19:09 for the victory against a field that included a number of top PA girls. It's her third consecutive win after winning at the PIAA Foundation Invitational two weeks ago and then the Bald Eagle Invitational last week.

On the team side, it was another big race for the girls from Pine-Richland, which put two girls in the top five to claim the team title by just two points. P-R scored 72 points to edge out Ohio's Shaker Hts, which scored 74. Meredith Price led the way with a second place finish in 19:47 for yet another strong performance by the senior. Natalie McLean ran very well, taking fifth in 20:27. Elizabeth Hunkele (11th in 20:50) and Angelina Hunkele (16th in 21:00) also supplied top 20 finishes for the champions.

Villa Maria Academy turned in another solid team effort, to place fourth with 148 points. Junior Sarah Clark paced Villa with a sixth place finish in 20:31.
