As we prepare for the outdoor season, Pennsylvania shifts from an all-in-one state meet format to classifications. There are two in the PIAA -- AA and AAA -- and then there are the independent schools in the PAISAA.
Who might the standouts be in those classifications this outdoor season? Using indoor bests, we separated the top girls relays and individuals by event to get an idea of how this indoor season would have played out within these classifications.
Porschia Bennett (above) of Towanda leads the AA girls high jumpers. The reigning AAA state champion in the event leapt a best of 5-5 this winter.
