Avery Lewis Headlines Insane Sprint Performances at States

Watch Avery Lewis dominate the 200m Dash

Is it safe to say that Avery Lewis (Friends Central) is a superstar? She broke the state record she already owned in the 60m not once but two times this past weekend. Her new record time of 7.22 is good for US No. 3.

Lewis didn't stop there. She won the 200m in a blazing 23.79, a US No. 8 and also won the Long Jump. She scored a total of 30-points and pushed her team to a second-place finish.

Lewis wasn't the only girl sprinter shining bright. Kaddel Howard (Cedar Crest) took 2nd in the 200m in 24.59. This makes her the second-fastest freshman in the nation. The emerging star claimed gold in the 400m with 55.57, making her the best freshman in the US and US No. 16 overall. She also dethroned Lewis as PA's fastest girl over 400m on the season.

On the boys' side, some familiar names claimed victory. In the 200m, Conor McFadden (Central Bucks West) ran 21.19 for gold and a new US. No. 5. He has continued to lay down impressive finishes and sets himself up nicely for Nationals or Outdoor.

Watch: Tyler Abraham after his win in the 400m

Tyler Abraham (Abington) would help propel his team to a second-place team finish with his win in the 400m. His time of 48.41 makes him US. No. 21. He continues to move forward as one of the best long-sprinters in the Northeast.

The 60m was won by Evan McCracken (Richland), who ran a new state-leading time of 6.80. The All-State Running back made his Indoor Track debut earlier this year. After all is said and done, he's coming away with the PTFCA Title.

The boys' 4x200m was won by Central Bucks West in 1:29.03, and the girls by Chester with 1:43.23.

There were no surprises in the girls' 4x400m as J.P. McCaskey threw down another 3:53 performance for gold. While on the boys' side, Abington won in a new state best of 3:19.21.
