EUGENE, Ore. - From the prelims to the finals, Sanaa Hebron was dominant in her run to a USATF U20 400mH National Championship this past weekend.
Hebron, a 2022 Neshaminy graduate, represented the University of Miami at this week's championship and held off Vanderbilt's Allyria McBride in a close finish on Sunday evening. Hebron overtook McBride over the last hurdle, scoring the victory with a time of 56.22 to McBride's 56.40.
Hebron will now represent Team USA at the U20 Pan American Games later this summer.
Her victory comes after an outstanding freshman campaign competing in the NCAA. Hebron won the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 400mH. She then transferred out of the NCAA East Region and placed 16th at the NCAA Championship.
Prior, she was a standout at Neshaminy and won the 2022 300mH state championship.
