There were some incredible performances this past weekend. Each week - The PA MileSplit crew will nominate multiple athletes and allow you to vote for the Runner of the Week. This week's poll will close on Wednesday (September 11th) at 8:00 pm EST.

The Week's Boys Candidates:

Jaxon Schoedel (Mohawk) - Ran 16:03 to win the Big Red Invitational in West Middlesex. That would be the seventh fastest time in course history if Schoedel hadn't already ran 15:53 on the course.

T.J. Zwall (Penn Charter) - Narrowly beat his teammate, Nate Johnson, to win the Abington XC Invitational in 15:59. He led Penn Charter to the invitational win over Gettysburg and Methacton.

Jackson Kane (Ridley) - Kane ran 9:33.5 at the Unionville Two Mile Bash. That was narrowly the fastest time of the day. He out-kicked Edomias Mulugeta to win the Senior race.

Carter Smith (Mifflin County) - Smith ran away from the field at PTXC 15 to win the Gold Race in stellar fashion. The middle-distance runner has adjusted well to the XC course and ran 15:51 on the KU Farm Course.

MJ Pottinger (Grove City) - Defended his Red, White and Blue Classic title by winning the meet for the second year in-a-row (3A division). Pottinger ran a 15:26 and slipped away from the rest of the field. He led Grove City to the team win.



The Week's Girls Candidates:

Lillian DiCola (Hatboro Horsham) - DiCola won the PTXC 15 Gold race with the fastest time of the day, an 18:20 on a challenging "Farm Course". Her time was the fifth fastest in course history.

Grace Fritzman (West Allegheny) - Fritzman ran 18:22 to win the 22nd Annual Red, White and Blue Classic 3A Race. She out-dueled Annabel Johnson (Woodland Hills) in the closing meters of the race.

Julia Kelly (Downingtown West) - Dominated the freshman race at the Unionville Two Mile Bash, and ran the fastest time of the day (all age groups). Kelly posted an 11:23.9 2 Mile.

Elaina Rainwater (Phil-Mont Christian) - Rainwater narrowly beat out Margaret Massengill (George School) to win the 55th Annual Mill Street Run. Her time of 18:37 is one the fastest times in course history.

Mackenzie Skelly (Penn Charter) - The eighth grader threw down an UNREAL 7:23.11 2400m (1.5 mile) to win the middle school section at the Cherokee Challenge. In case you were wondering, that is 4:57 mile pace.
