State Leaders
Ryan Kaiser (Neshaminy) and Emily Fisher (Somerset) earned last week's Athlete of the Week honors. Kaiser posted a 15:23 at the Souderton Twilight Invitational and helped lead his team to a third place finish.
Fisher ran 18:33 to win the Altoona Mt. Lion Invitational. She ran away with the lead over the second half of the race and won by 14-seconds.
This weekend, there were some incredible performances in and out of state. Each week - The PA MileSplit crew will nominate multiple athletes and allow you to vote for the Runner of the Week. This week's poll will close on Wednesday (October 2nd) at 8:00 pm EST.

The Week's Boys Candidates:

Jonathan Hess (Lewisburg) - Hess ran 15:34 to finish second at the Carlisle Invitational, in the meet's top division. He was the first Pennsylvanian in the field.
Rowan Carr (Penncrest) - Carr won the DELCO XC Championship this weekend. He ran 16:14 over the revamped course. He also helped secure the team title for Penncrest.
Carter Smith (Mifflin County) - Posted the fastest time of the day and won his race at the Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational. Smith ran 15:32 despite the rainy conditions.
Ben Hummel (Midd-West) - Hummel ran 16:05 to win the NEPA Invitational at Bloomsburg University. It was a personal best effort for the senior.
Kamden Kramer (McDowell) - Kramer ran 14:47 over the three mile race distance to place second at the McQuaid Invitational in New York.
Max Smith (Seneca Valley) - Smith won the Youthtowne Clash with his 15:48. The time was a 16 second personal best.
The Week's Girls Candidates:

Kendra Williamson (Episcopal Academy) - Williamson ran 18:41 to win the DELCO XC Championship. She won by over 40 seconds.
Annie Moniz (Lower Moreland) - Ran the third fastest time of the day to win her race at the Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational. Moniz posted an 18:06 despite the wet conditions.
Claire Dufrene (Warrior Run) - Dufrene ran 18:43 to swin the NEPA Invitational by 20 seconds. It was the first invitational win of the season for Dufrene.
Maren Iski (Pine Richland) - Iski ran 18:30 to win the Youthtowne Clash. She posted a 13 second victory and led Pine Richland to a seventh place finish.
