Hello Everyone,
My name is Austin Melius, and I will be taking the helm as the new State Editor for Milesplit Pennsylvania (PennTrackXC). I am excited to get started being that I am a runner and Pa. native. It is a true honor to be able to show the great talent we have in Pennsylvania.
A little bit about me: I grew up and ran at Bellefonte Area High School. After four years, I was given the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level at Lock Haven University. I finished last summer with my undergraduate degree in Sport Management and am continuing my education at Lock Haven going for my Masters in Sport Management. I was able to do pretty well on the track side of my college running days, but sadly, after three years, it was time to hang up the spikes. I am fortunate enough to stay in the running space and continue to live and breathe running in Pennsylvania as the state editor.
As I start working for Milesplit, I am excited to meet many coaches, athletes, officials, timers, and anyone else I may run into throughout the rest of the indoor and outdoor track season. I can't wait to see all the amazing things this fantastic state offers this season in track and field.
