The William Tennent Inv. gives runners a 200-member break over 5k courses, but is still a good test and fan-friendly. What it did do is give an interesting preview to the District 1 AA girls race... a preview that the pre-season did not foretell. Christopher Dock beat Gwynedd-Mercy, Not by much, but if their 4th and 5th runners can get a little closer to #3, it could get closer than expected. Beth Lambright, a freshman, and Sarah Clemmer, a junior, went one-two for Dock in 18:22 and 18:35 respectively. Dock tallied 96 points, two better than Gwynedd-Mercy. In the boys race, Gwynedd was missing Kate Vernon because of SATs. Souderton placed four in the top nine, with Tom Robertson taking 3rd in 15:43. Holy Ghost Prep's Stephen van Wert won in 15:31.
