Hello everyone,
My name is Jackson Polin, and I'm excited to be taking over as the new State Editor for MileSplit Pennsylvania (PennTrackXC). I've been passionate about track and field and cross country for years, both as a fan and as a competitor, and I'm thrilled to bring that perspective to PA MileSplit.
A little bit about me: I grew up in District 1, where I ran track and cross country for Penncrest High School. During my running career, I was fortunate to experience success and run in some of the most competitive races in the state. I am now in college, majoring in photography with a business minor, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to stay connected to the sport I love through this role as State Editor while putting my own running career on hold.
Pennsylvania has long been recognized as one of the most competitive states for high school track and field and cross country. My goal is to continue building on MileSplit PA's strong tradition of coverage while expanding opportunities to showcase the incredible athletes, coaches, and programs across the state.
I am looking forward to developing relationships and gaining insight from coaches, athletes, officials, and timers across the state as well as learning from their perspectives. If you see me out at a meet this fall, come say hello!
- Jackson Polin
Ps: I am pictured in 3rd with the #8
