With the Brooks XC Northeast Championship less than 24 hours away keep an eye on these top athletes from PA to potentially make their mark and qualify for the Brooks XC National Championships presented by Fleet Feet.
Nicholas Mazzeo

Nicholas Mazzeo comes into the meet with the top seed in the entire Northeast. His 14:40 from September still reigns supreme over the entire class and with experience on the course already this year he comes in with a great shot to win the championship.
Alexander Mazzeo
Alexander Mazzeo comes into the meet with the 7th best time in the field and with Brooks XC Nationals accepting the top 10 finishers from each region, he has a great shot to qualify. With experience already on the course this year with his 15:17 second place finish at the 64th Catholic Memorial Invitational Mazzeo should be one of the top athletes to finish.
Travis Furmanski
Travis Furmanski comes into the meet with one total loss on his resume for the 2025 XC season. The senior beat both of the Mazzeo twins at the PIAA state championship and has a great shot to qualify for Brooks XC Nationals.
Virginia Kraus
Virginia comes in to the race off a dominant senior campaign, completing the four-peat at states. The now-senior won the Northeast XC Championship title last year and will look to defend.
Ana Bondy
Ana Bondy comes into Brooks XC Regionals fresh off a 3rd place finish in the AAA race at the PIAA State Championships and has an excellent shot to qualify for Brooks XC Nationals.
Josephine Lenart
Josephine Lenart may just be a freshman but this freshman girls class in PA has already done some spectacular things with Lenart being no different. She comes off a 2nd place finish at the PIAA State Championships A race and has a good shot to qualify for Brooks XC Nationals if she runs her race the right way.
