There were some great races for the second night in a row at Kutztown. The meet started with a DMR battle that developed into a race between North Penn and Cardinal O'Hara, with NP pulling away over the final 800 to win in 10:39.18, O'Hara was 12 seconds back. North Penn also captured the 4x400, going 3:32.01. Penn Charter's Kamal Marell ran a 7.70 to take the 55 Hurdles. Juan Cave of St. Joseph's Prep tuned up for his coming showdown with Ryan Fritz with a 6-08 jump. In the Long Jump, Duane Hynes of Council Bucks South went 22-02.50. His teammate, Shawn Minnick, won the Shot Put with a throw of 53-11.50. Strath Haven and North Penn had a close one in the 4x200, with Haven pulling it out at 1:34.83 by less than a quarter second. Wissahickon took the 4x800 in 8:15.24. Haverford's Pat Donnelly ran a strategic race, and then pulled away over the last 600 to win the 3000 in 9:07.60. Brandon Pomerantz of Council Rock North controlled the Mile and held on to win in 4:28.96.
