Nicole Smith of McDowell picked up where she left off at the state meet, winning, winning, winning and winning again. Four events. Her best performance was a 37-05 Triple Jump. She leapt 17-06 in the Long Jump, cleared 5-04 in the High Jump, and ran 15.3 for 100 meters with hurdles. Erin Hannon, fresh off her national championship in the Nike Indoor meet, was 2nd in three of those events (35-09.50 - 17-04.75, and 5-04 respectively). Baldwin\'s Jordan Veney put the shot 40'6-1/2". She also won the Discus with a throw of 122-01.
Double winners included Kaitlyn Grimm of Penn Hills in the 1600 (5:25.9) and 3200 (11:48.6); and Alex Henson of Penn Hills in the 110 Hurdles (15.3) and 300 Hurdles (40.2).
