Amy Backel, the Northern York multi-event star who has been setting PRs all season, will take her talents to the University of Oklahoma, where she will compete in -- surprise-surprise -- the Heptathlon. A real specialist in the field events, Backel has PRs of: Discus 119-04; High Jump 5-06; Javelin 141-09.00; Pole Vault 11-03.00; and Shot Put 42-01.50. All were set this season, with the exception of the High Jump from the 2004 state championship meet.
