Running in the hottest heat, North Penn pushed the race and nearly beat Syosset NY, which had the fastest qualifier of 7:48.80. North Penn was in at 7:49.09 - both quick times for a quafifying race. But they won't be the only PA team in the Championship of America, and another team missed by just .03.
Running with Holmwood Tech JA, Conestoga Valley went 7:51.92 to make the finals with the 7th fastest time, and Central, running in the North Penn heat, went 7:57.79 for the 12th and final spot.
Manheim Township, with the Millers running the final two legs, missed by just .03, with Craig splitting 1:52.5. Brad had brought the team from 15th to 10th before handing off to Craig, who passed three other runners in his 800 to nearly catch the group ahead of him.
Syosset and North Penn finish with the top two times.
