Quotes: "We need to do more tests…"

Well, today was the doctor's appointment with the lung specialist…and of course we have to do more tests! The good news is that it looks like my lungs are fine, but something else is not functioning correctly….But, the cool thing is is that my doctor is willing to come to a workout and bring his little breathing machine tester thingy (that is a technical term) and right after I finish an interval and am having a hard time breathing, he is going to make me breath through that little breathing machine tester thingy and see what the tests say THEN (since it is almost impossible to work me hard enough on that treadmill in the office!) Well, if it didn't work in there, why not come to my world, my workout world…my hilly workout world and really get my breathing going!

It costs a crap load to go to the doctor here, moreso than even in the USA…but I gotta' say, my doctors are really willing to bend over backwards for me and that is awesome!!! I think that is the coolest thing a doctor has ever done, to say, it is afterhours (we aren't working out until 6 tomorrow), but I am willing to stay until late to make sure we get those tests!!!!!!!!!!! I am just thrilled. My lung specialist's name is Dr. Pfaffli and he is just awesome. Of course Fritz was totally willing to change workout areas when I told him the doctor suggested we do the test after a hard workout, so I am glad Fritz is super laid back and was also willing to change locations!!!!! My workout tomorrow is going to be in Bern, on some trails right across from the Doctor's office. How awesome???? I cannot rave enough about how excited I am! I think that a workout is really the only way to do the real test…in a real work out….not some 8 minute hard jog on a treadmill that only gets you slightly puffing, but a WORKOUT…the kind where you really strain your system!!! The kind that make your cheeks red..the kind of workout that gives you "workout stomach" where you know you SHOULD eat something after working out, but you feel if you do, you are going to puke…so you have to wait a little bit before throwing something down the hatch…the kind where on the last repeat, you think to yourself, "how can I make myself trip so it looks real and I can just end it all, right here, right now." Hahhahahahaha And I KNOW, you know what I mean if you are a runner!!!
