Training Details: Easy training today. Acupuncture in the afternoon. The needles weren't so bad, it was once they were in my muscle when it KILLED. SHII, I mean SHEESH. Yeah, let's just say everyone in the waiting room heard me saying, "ouch, ouch, ouch. That hurts! How many more needles do you have to use? How long do they have to stay in there?" My doctor is great!!! He can put up with me! Hahaha

Back on Track…
Aaah. Another new week, another end of a month soon to be the beginning of another... I mentioned a while ago how I didn't believe in New Year's Resolutions because many people are unrealistic about them and only think about it once a year…So of course in January, the gyms are packed…come March, people just disappear and forget about the goals they set and pretty much say, "forget it." Hence, why I like to re evaluate my goals often to stay motivated…

So my short term goals were to…
1. work on core strength
2. jack up miles
3. qualify myself for student world cross
4. rock half marathon in april
5. reduce sugar intake
6. set a good example

Actual results…
1. worked on core…but can work harder. There was a span of about a week where I barely did anything. doh. And I think there may have been another week where core strength lagged. If someone brings me out of my routine, I really get out of it! I need to learn to stay on track even if my surroundings change.
2. jacked up the miles, so that was good.
3. am still working on it. My next qualifying race is on Sunday in Italy…
4. re-evaluated…we are going to move the half marathon from may to june because of a training camp that we have planned in Italy. Am still going to have my debut this year though, just a couple months later.
5. my biggest challenge…I feel like it goes in waves. BUT, I can proudly say I haven't eaten anything like gummi worms and anything gummi, which I really love love love, but was able to control myself. I was unable to keep my chocolate intake at one row a day…broke it a couple times. Doh. Have reduced pastry intake, so that was good. (Except after I got that iron infusion, I decided I earned myself a dang pastry. All that crying zapped my energy!) All in all better, but there is always room for improvement.
6. room for improvement! Always room!
