Father Judge
Indoor state medalist Kyle Felpel of Cocalico nearly equaled in 2010-2011 indoor seasonal best in his first meet of the season! The senior won the boys event with a throw of 53-10. Caitlin Yakas of Sun Valley threw 36-2 to win the girls event.

The Hill School
Seline Tan-Torres of Methacton ran her 2nd state qualifier in as many meets, running 59.13 to win the 400 meter dash. She has two top PA times in the early going. Katelyn Jackson of Springside won both the 55 meter dash (7.34) and the 200 meter dash (26.43). Caitlyn Sheva of Pennridge ran 10:45.18 to win the 3000 meter run.
For the boys, Spring Ford ran 3:33.02 to win the 4x400 meter relay, Mishon Coppock of Pottstown cleared 6-3 to win the high jump, and Taylor Thomas of Wyomissing Area won the 200 meter dash (23.49) and the long jump (21-06.25).

Pratt Institute
Engineering and Science brought some athletes to NY and came away with some good performances. Kanae Taylor won the 800 meter run in 2:22.3 and finished 3rd in the 400 meter dash in 60.8. Andrea Brown finished 2nd in the 1500 meter run in 5:06.6, with teammate Danae Colston finished right behind her in 5:08.5.

DVGTCA Indoor Meet #2
Swenson came away with two individual winners on the night. Markeeta Thomas ran 9.22 to win the 60 meter hurdles to edge out Eliana Yankelev of Lower Merion, who ran 9.28. Both performances top the state thus far. Swenson's other win came in the 400 meter dash, as Imani Harris ran 59.00 to top the state in that event. Jody Ann Evans of Quakertown leads the state in the 200 meter dash after running 26.02 to win. Emma Keenan of Gwynedd Mercy Academy ran 3:04.69 to win the 1000 meter run. Sara Sargent of Pennsbury made her 2011-2012 track debut by holding off Lucy Van Kleunen of Central in the mile to earn a win in 5:14.56. Pennridge ran 1:48.90 to win the 4x200, while Strath Haven won the distance medley in 12:25.03 to hold off Pennridge. In the field, Diamond Hodge of Girls High won the triple jump with a mark of 36-1.75. Taylor Morgan of Upper Dublin cleared 5-6 to win the high jump. Amanda Benninghoff of Council Rock South cleared 11-3 to win the pole vault.

Franklin & Marshall HS Invitational #1
The field events were the highlight of the night in Lancaster. Jordan Matthews of Abington got her senior season off to a winning start, winning the long jump with a mark of 17-8.50 and the triple jump with a mark of 35-00.50. Olivia Loy won the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet even. Kyle Long of Hempfield won the shot put with a mark of 54-9.75. Tyree Ballenger of J.P. McCaskey won the high jump with a clearance of 6-2. The track highlight of the day came from Ephrata's Mary Witmer, who ran 59.57 to win the 400 meter dash.

TFCAofGP Meet #2
After two weeks, we have seen two outstanding division 2 performances in the 800 meter run. Last week is was Ned Willig of Great Valley running 1:55.58. This week, it was Drew Magaha of Upper Moreland. Magaha managed to top last week's performance by Willig by running a blazing 1:54.20 in the 800! That time is also a new Division 2 record that was previously held by Mark Korich of Springfield Montco. The old record was 1:54.3 set back in 2003. Other highlights included a 7.17 60 meter dash win from Wellington Zaza of Strath Haven, a 10:59.17 distance medley win from Strath Haven, and a 52-2.50 shot put win from Chazz Wilks of Cardinal O'Hara.
In Division 1, Pennsbury ran 1:34.90 to win the 4x200 meter relay. St Joe's Prep ran 11:09.70 to win the distance medley relay. Cody Minnig of Neshaminy won the long jump with a mark of 22-1.50, 3/4 of an inch better than Tyrek Edwards of Archbishop Ryan. Daquan Coker of Perkiomen Valley ran 7.22 (7.20 prelim) to win the 60 meter dash.

Maria Seykora of Academy of Notre Dame (Left in photo by Kyle Brazeil) followed up her 10:19 3000 meter performance last week with a 2nd place finish in the mile run in 5:01.70! Rowyanna Watson of Norristown finished 14th in the 55 meter dash in 7.51. Imani Harris of Swenson finished 4th in the 300 meter dash with a time of 40.37. Caela Williams of Penn Wood finished 12th with a time of 41.41.
Markeeta Thomas of Swenson (Right in photo by Kyle Brazeil) finished 5th in the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:38.15, and she also anchored the winning 4x400 relay to a 3:55.20, splitting 56.4. Seline Tan-Torres of Methacton finished 6th in the same event with a time of 1:38.19. Amy Hicks of Swenson finished 7th in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.85 (8.62 prelims). Katie Catania of Methacton finished 3rd in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet even and jumped 35-10.50 in the triple jump to finish 7th. Teammate Nicolette Serratore finished 5th in the triple jump with a mark of 36-4. In other relays, Penn Wood was 7th in 4:06.22. Methacton finished 2nd in the 4x800 meter relay in 9:45.94. Easton (1:48.30) and Methacton (1:48.39) finished 8th and 9th respectively in the 4x200 meter relay.
For the boys, Great Valley's Ned Willig is now the US#2 in both the 800 and Mile after his 12/10 1:55.58 was followed up by a 2nd place 4:17.47 in New York on the 17th. Swenson's Haneef Hardy (Left in photo by Kyle Brazeil) posted a US#1 1:21.86 for 600 meters, and also was on the 5th fastest 4x200 of 1:32.30. Teammate Niager Mathis posted the 5th best 55 on the day with his 6.67. Hurdles specialist Eric Futch of Penn Wood used the open 300 to post a US#1 and #10 AT 33.56. Penn Wood also captured 2nd in the 4x400 in 3:23.00. Holy Ghost Prep's Ryan Horgan ran to a 2:33.31 1000 meters, good for 4th.

AAA outdoor shot put champion Kyle Long took over the state lead in the shot put with a season opening mark of 59-00.50! Shawn Mayer of Palmyra cleared 14-9 to win the pole vault. Ibn Short of Milton Hershey cleared 6-5 to take the state lead in the high jump. On the track, Bobby Smutsky of Northern ran 23.44 to win the 200 meter dash, Kyle Martin of Our Lady of Sacred Heart ran 7.71 to win the 55 meter hurdles, and T.J. Elliott of Central Dauphin East ran 6.49 to win the 55 meter dash.
For the girls, State College won both the 4x800 (10:01.90) and 4x400 meter relays (4:13.21). Courtney Mitchell of Central Dauphin East ran 7.33 to win the 55 meter dash. Her teammate Deme'shia Davis ran 26.22 to win the 200 meter dash. Maria Snyder of Northern Bedford ran 5:23.63 to win the 1600 meter run. Olivia Loy of Cedar Cliff won the pole vault with a clearance of 10-6.
