Plymouth Whitemarsh Relays
Windy and unseasonably chilly weather pretty much limited the chances that performances would be what the athletes and coaches were shooting for. The Discus and Javelin were into the wind. The wind was behind the high jumpers, throwing off their steps and timing. But it was still a meet that kept moving at a good clip. In the Girls Relays, the top prizes were split rather evenly, as William Penn and host Plymouth-Whitemarsh took home three golds apiece. Souderson, Methacton and Gwynedd-Mercy took two golds each. For the Boys Relays, any event that involved an 800 went to Bishop McDevitt, as they added the 4x400 and Pole Vault relays to tally five wins. Lower Merion tallied three golds, while Lower Moreland had two golds.
