Lower Merion Invitational
During January, February and March, many fans of PA T&F were talking about Merion Mercy's Evelyn Dwyer. It's her senior year, so people expected a big effort. Well, she's baaaaack, and served notice at the Lower Merion Invitational, running alone and posting a state-leading 2:11.96 800. Teammate Kimarra McDonald was also under 2:20, going 2:18.37. Merion Mercy was 2nd to North Penn's squad in the 3200 Relay, which went 9:29.4. North Penn's Jessica Tower put the shot 42-04 for a victory. Conestoga's Steve Meyers was a double winner, taking first in the Discus with his 152-07, and in the Shot Put, boing 56-07.25. Two fast 400's from Drew Eckman, Oxford (49.09) and Ryan Bird, Conestoga (49.45). North Penn's boys took the 4x100 in 42.92 and the 4x400 in 3:28.56.
