PIAA District 5 AA Championships
Windber's Jeff Kiss captured two titles (110 H:14.59 & 300 H:40.06) and was 2nd to McConnellsburg's Josh Liniger (20-11.50/44-03.50) in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump with his 20-05.75 and 43-07.50 performances. Dan Gardner of Berlin Brothersvalley, took the 100 (11.40), the 200 (22.89) and the 400 (50.16). In the Field, Bedford's Damien Crissey won the Shot Put (47-04) and the Discus (151-10.50). Meyersdale's Meredith Troutman won the 200 in26.26 and the 400 in 58.21, plus the Javelin with a throw of 125-06. Katie Koenig, Chestnut Ridge, captured the 100 in 13.19 and the Long Jump with a leap of 16-05.50. The distance events belonged to Everett's Steph Blackstone, who took the 1600 in 5:31.71 and the 3200 in 12:02.20.
