Veal Lamont of Cardinal O'Hara ran 6.64 to win the 55 meter dash. Glen Mills edged out Cheltenham to win the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:34.58. Dave Stellato of Wissahickon followed up with 400 meter win last Friday with a 200 meter victory in 23.31. Jack Macauley of North Penn ran 10:14.52 to cruise to victory in the 3200 meter run. Bensalem won the 4x800 (8:21.07) and 4x400 meter relays (3:34.74). Elizae McDonald of Coatesville and Daniel Boardman of North Penn both cleared 6-3 in the high jump to qualify for the state meet.
Courtney Washington of Palumbo Academy won the 400 meter dash in a state leading time of 58.9 and finished 2nd in the 200 meter dash in 26.0. Kanae Taylor of Engineering and Science ran 2:31.4 in the 800 meter run to finish 6th and ran 1:01.3 in the 400 meter dash to finish 5th. Jenny Bellefleur of Parkway Northwest ran 7.4 in the 55 meter dash to finish 4th.

Current state leader Amy Hicks of Swenson ran 9.06 (9.04 prelims) to win the 60 meter hurdles. Sara Sargent of Pennsbury became the new state leader in the mile with a huge winning performance of 5:02.90. Katelyn Jackson of Springside ran 7.83 to win the 60 meter dash. Emma Keenan of Gwynedd Mercy ran 58.90 to win the 400 meter dash. Allie Wilson of Strath Haven ran 2:19.34 to win the 800 meter run. Megan McCloskey of Germantown Academy cleared 5-6 to win the high jump. Taylor Hojnacki of Central Bucks South threw 37-10.50 to win the shot put. Amanda Benninghoff of Council Rock South added 3 inches to her state lead in the pole vault with a winning mark of 11-6. Springside ran 1:47.84 to win the 4x200 meter relay, while Cardinal O'Hara ran 12:41.86 to win the distance medley relay. Strath Haven ran 4:07.14 to win the 4x400 meter relay.
Tom Coyle and Andrew Stone of Lasalle went 1-2 in the 1600 meter run, with Coyle winning in 4:23.49 and Stone running 4:23.92. The times lead the state. James Zingarini of Council Rock North (4:26.53) and Brad Rivera of Bensalem (4:29.40) also dipped under the 4:30 mark. Stone did add an 800 meter win in 2:02.22 to his mile 2nd place, while Coyle ran a PA#5 8:59.46 to win the 3000 meter run and edge out PA#8 Ross Wilson of Council Rock North (9:01.10). Luke Persichetti of Lasalle won the shot put with a PA#3 mark of 52-4.50 and teammate Corey Muggler won the triple jump with a mark of 44-2.50.
Kyle Francis (4:29.10) and Brad Rivera (4:29.14) of Bensalem cracked the top 15 in the mile run. Rivera also finished 3rd in the 800 meter run with a new state leading and US#4 time of 1:55.13. John Lewis of Cheltenham finished 4th in the same race with a PA#2 and US#8 time of 1:57.34 Joe Smith of Norristown finished 6th in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.69. Smith would finish 2nd in the finals with a time of 6.55. Smith added a 7th place finish in the long jump with a mark of 20-11. Cheltenham had the fastest time in the 4x200 meter relay prelims with a time of 1:31.07. They would finish 2nd in the finals with a PA#1 and US#4 time of 1:30.79! Samuel Reid of Central led all shot putters in the prelims with a mark of 52-9 and would finish 8th with that mark. Paul Somerville of Cheltenham finished right behind him with a mark of 50-7, while Shawn Scornaienchi of Father Judge was 4th with a mark of 49-8. Malik Jones of Roman Catholic finished 3rd in the Invitational 400 meter dash with a state leading and US#4 time of 48.68. Niager Mathis of Swenson ran a PA#2 and US#8 time of 49.13 to finish 7th. Jones also advanced to the finals of the 200 meter dash with a state leading time of 22.26, the 2nd best time in qualifying. Mike Brown of Norristown had the 5th fastest time in qualifying with a PA#3 time of 22.70. In the finals, Jones ran 22.18 to finish 3rd, while Max Burgess of Great Valley ran 22.90 to finish 6th. Elijah Qhyle of Bensalem won the varsity 400 meter dash with a PA#3 time of 49.39. Gabrielle Johnson of Roman Catholic ran 51.13 to finish 7th. Penn Wood improved on their PA#1 4x400 meter mark with a 3rd place finish in a US#3 time of 3:22.82. Bensalem finished 4th in a US#8 time of 3:25.49.
For the girls, Georgetown commit Emma Keenan of Gwynedd Mercy ran a US#2 2:12.29 to take 2nd in the 800 meter run. Sarah Hipwell of Great Valley (6th in PA#3 2:18.83) and Katie Cassidy of St Basil Academy (7th in PA#4 2:19.09) also cracked the top ten in the same event. Kayla Coley of Cheltenham had the fastest time in 55 meter hurdle prelim rounds with a time of 8.17. Teammate Ciara Leonard had the 3rd fastest time in 8.26. In the finals, Coley finished 2nd in 8.13 and Leonard was 5th in 8.38. Natalia Pinkney of Pennridge finished 5th in the prelims of the 55 meter dash in 7.39. Rowanna Watson of Norristown ran 7.39 to finish 5th and Alexis Bell of Norristown ran 7.49 to finish 8th in the same event. In the finals, Pinkney ran 7.36 to finish 4th, Watson ran 7.39 for 6th and Bell ran 7.46 to finish 7th. Veronica Eder of Central Bucks East ran a PA#3 time in the mile run with a 2nd place finish of 5:10.36. Anna Willig of Great Valley ran a PA#5 time of 5:17.94 to finish 8th. Lucy Van Kluenen of Central also broke 5:20, running 5:19.67 to finish 12th. In the 4x200 meter prelims, Pennridge finished 10th in 1:46.87. Caela Williams of Penn Wood finished 4th in the Invitational 400 meter dash with a state leading and US#6 time of 57.37. Marissa Sheva of Pennridge finished 4th in the Invitational Mile with a PA#2 time of 5:06.20. Siani Wilson of Penn Wood ran a PA#5 time of 59.42 to finish 4th in the varsity 400 meter dash. Christina Holmes of Penn Wood (25.89) and Coley of Cheltenham (25.90) advanced to the finals of the 200 meter dash. Holmes finished 5th in the finals (25.86). Kelley Anne Stuetz of Cheltenham cleared 5-3 in the high jump to finish 2nd. Penn Wood finished 2nd in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:59.54.

In Division 1, Lasalle surged to the top of the state list in the distance medley relay with a US#6 time of 10:33.91! Cody Mining of Neshaminy ran 23.04 to win the 200 meter dash while teammate Renard Howell also joined the victory party, running 51.77 to win the 400 meter dash. Connor Harriman of Pennsbury ran 1:59.88 to win the 800 meter run, while teammate Sam Webb finished 2nd in the mile (4:30.84) behind Ross Wilson of Council Rock North (4:29.61). Garnet Valley cruised to victory in the 4x200 meter relay with a PA#5 time of 1:33.75. Byron Coleman of Plymouth Whitemarsh won the long jump with a mark of 22-4. Luke Persichetti of Lasalle won the shot put with a PA#3 mark of 55-1.50.
In Division 2, Kevin James of Cardinal O'Hara ran 9:05.45 to win the 3000 meter run. Christian Sanders of Upper Merion ran 51.93 to win the 400 meter dash. Nkosi Jones of Wissahickon won the long jump with a mark of 21-10. Tyler Whitmore of Upper Moreland ran 7.19 to win the 60 meter dash.
Taylor Williams of Hatboro Horsham won both the 60 meter (7.77) and 200 meter dashes (26.26). Germantown Friends also had some winners on the day, with their girls 4x400 meter relay running 4:21.44 for victory and Caitlin Harrity won the mile in 5:46.52. The GFS boys also won the 4x400 meter relay in 3:47.23.
AAA cross country state champion Courtney Smith of Unionville made her 2012-13 track season debut and picked up right where she left off in November. She won the 3000 meter run in a US#4 time of 10:04.19 and was 44 seconds ahead of 2nd place! Natalie Deacon of West Chester Henderson won the 800 meter run in a PA#3 time of 2:17.86. Teammate Stephanie Aldrich ran 5:16.86 to win the mile run. Great Valley took the state lead in the 4x800 meter relay with a US#4 time of 9:33.58. Ellie Pollock of Avon Grove won the long jump (17-0) and the triple jump (33-6). Brittany Plummer of Kennett cleared 11 feet to win the pole vault.
For the boys, AAA cross country state champion Tony Russell of West Chester Henderson also made his track debut and won the mile with a PA#3 time of 4:24.53 to edge out Ken Leidel of Downingtown West (PA#6 4:26.86). Russell's team also won the distance medley relay with a PA#5 time of 10:58.36. Elizae McDonald of Coatesville cleared 6-4 to win the high jump.
Caela Williams of Penn Wood won the 55 (7.51p, 7.61 finals) and 200 meter dashes (26.30). Tess Meehan of Haverford ran 10:41.85 to win the 3000 meter run. Haverford also won the distance medley relay with a PA#4 time of 12:42.61. Penn Wood won the 4x200 (1:46.72) and 4x400 meter relays (4:08.41). Claudine Andre of Upper Darby cleared 5-4 to win the high jump.
