Spokane, Was. - Providence College freshman Shelby Greany won the USATF Championship today. Competing in the junior 6,000 meter, which is for athletes under 20 years old, Greany ran 20:27 to beat Emily Sisson of Chesterfield, Missouri by five seconds.

Wednesday, January 13th - Over sixty relay teams will qualify for the Millrose Games Wednesday night, along with two weight throwers and potentially three milers. At the conclusion of the meet the only high school events not to be finalized will be the Metro 4x800m Relays, Miles, and Weight Throws.
The 16th Hispanic Games will be presented for the first time this Saturday by the United States Navy. Cornwall junior Aisling Cuffe ran the 2nd fastest time ever last week at Bowdoin Park. ONly Nicole Blood ran faster back in 2004. So what did Cuffe do this week for an encore? She ran the 2nd fastest time ever at Paul Short in PA, missing Aisling Ryan's record from 2004 by 2 seconds.
