A new rule concerning the transfer of student-athletes is closer to becoming reality after passing a second vote yesterday.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- A major change in the transfer rule for Pennsylvania high school athletics is closer to becoming reality. The PIAA Board of Control yesterday (3/23) passed, on a second-reading basis, a new rule where students who transfer to another school after their freshman year are ineligible to play varsity sports for a year, but can participate on junior varsity teams.
