SATURDAY: Liz Costello pulled off a huge PR in taking 5th in a stack 1500, running 4:29.36, which converts to approximately a 4:47.36 Mile. FRIDAY: Last Saturday, Easton sophomore Chanelle Price said if she had someone push her, she could run 2:06. Today she did, chasing two college freshmen to run a 2:06.23 and finish 3rd. In the finals of the 400 Hurdles, Ryann Krais capped her amazing weekend with a 7th place finish. West Catholic grad and UCLA freshman Nicole Leach set a meet record in winning. In the postponed Pole Vault, Easton\'s Lindsay Regan cleared 12-07.50 and finished 3rd. In the Triple Jump, Clarence Smith (Penn State/Coatesville) was 4th, while Eric Jones (Pittsburgh/Gateway) was 10th. Laurel Highlands junior Breehana Jacobs did not advance from the prelims of the 200. Ryann Krais, one day after setting the all-time sophomore class record in the Heptathlon, is in the finals of the 400 Hurdles. In the Triple Jump, Bradford senior Erin Hannon was 13th, and then later took 9th in the High Jump at 5-05.. THURSDAY: It was PR after PR on day one, but on day two, adding the 400 Hurdles open race to the three other closing events of the Heptathlon, Ryann Krais slipped to 4th after the first event of the day, a 17-07 Long Jump, way below her best. That was followed by her first-ever Javelin, where she held her own and dropped just on e more spot to 5th. She then closed out her first Heptathlon with a 2:24.46 in the 800 to finish 5th overall with 5138 point... a US Sophomore Class Record! It also makes her the 16th best prep individual in the event of all time. Oklahoma frosh Amy Backel (Northern York) finished 9th in the Heptathlon. Backel took 4th in the Juniors Javelin, while PA state champ and NON champ Karlee McQuillen of Westmont-Hilltop was 5th. Krais advances to the finals of the 400 Hurdles along with former West Catholic star Nicole Leach who had the fastest qualifer. Central Bucks South grad Duane Hynes, now at Princeton, was in 2nd placw with two events to go in the Decathlon, and Alex Holcombe, Germantown Academy, was in 10th. But in the final event, the 1500, Hynes was beaten by 14 seconds and slipped to third. Holcombe finished 12th, Ryan Fritz (Penn State/Octorara) took 2nd in the High Jump in a jump-off, with former Saint Joseph\'s prep rival Juan Cave, now at Georgia Tech, taking 3rd, also clearing 7-01.50. Pittsburgh\'s Michael Wray (Central, Phil.) took 6th in the 110 Hurdles. In the 100 Dash, Breehana Jacobs of Laurel Highlands, did not advance to the finals. In the 800 Prelims, Easton sophomore Chanelle Price drew the same heat as West Catholic\'s Latavia Thomas and outsprinter her PA rival and the rest of her heat to advance to the finals.
