Video by Bill ShearnSouth Williamsport's Katie Jones is now the outdoor state record holder in the pole vault.Jones, a senior, cleared 13-7 at the PIAA District 4 Championships to take the win and break the PA all-time best mark. The previous state best was 13-6 by Easton Area's Lindsay Regan from 2005.After battling a stress fracture for most of the outdoor season, Jones made her return to the runway at last week's PHAC Championship Meet, where she jumped 13-0. It appears Jones is healthy and ready to chase even bigger heights at states, where she is the defending Class AA champion.During the winter season, Jones jumped a personal best of 13-9.25 to win the title at New Balance Nationals Indoor.Check out the Class AA results from District 4 below:GIRLS POLE VAULT FINALSPLACEATHLETETEAMRESULTWINDH#1Katie Jones12South Williamsport13-07.0012Hailey Zurich10Loyalsock Township11-06.0013Ally Tama12Towanda11-06.0014Emma Padner12Central Columbia11-00.0015Rylie Mong10Warrior Run10-06.001
