They\'re back. Allentown Central Catholic stayed home in the Lehigh Valley and had two previously ranked Northeast teams come to them. They beat both. In the boys race, NE#9 Monsignor Farrell won the boys race by 37 over West Chester East, 2nd with 109. Central Bucks South\'s Kyle Murray (photo by Bob Rodgers) went 15:41 to win. And 14-year-old Neely Spence made her high school debut - in the college open 6k race because she is homeschooled - and finished 4th on the 6k course.
Liberty freshmen Josh McDougal simply does not understand the concept of losing. Not that it is a bad quality as McDougal went on to win his third consecutive major invitational collegiate victory in as many races in his young career at the prestigious and competitive Paul Short Invitational. Considered annually as one of the premier collegiate cross country meets on the East Coast with many of the nation\'s best teams and individuals competing in the event, Liberty\'s McDougal made easy work of the competition as he blazed to a scorching 8 kilometer time of 23:43.53.
