For the boys of the greater Philadelphia area, Coatesville will be the place to be. There should be plenty of good competition slated for Saturday.

Lots of talented sprinters will be toeing the line. In the 100, look for Wissahickon's Darien Williams and Rahsheed Wright, Methacton's Nick Shaffer and LaSalle's Kyle Johnson. Williams, Wright, and Shaffer will double back in the 200, where they'll face Penn Wood's Kenneth Johnson and Pennridge's Austin Howell. The 400 is stacked up and down as well. Coatesville's Terrance Laird will step up in distance and will definitely be one to keep an eye on. Penn Wood's Johnson, MLK's Tyreek Mathis and Edward Marshall, St. Joseph's Prep's Robert Dupell, and LaSalle's Winston Eubanks (PA #1 200m) are just some of the athletes to keep out for in that quarter mile.

Upper Darby's Mason Weh (Preseason PA#1) is entered in the high hurdles, but he'll see some strong competitors in the way of Springfield's Ache Hall, Penn Wood's Sekou Kanneh and Pennridge's Alex Dimon.

In the 300 meter hurdles, Kanneh, who is PA#1 in the event, will come back for the double, but St. Joseph's Prep's Miles Green, fresh off a 54.77 400 meter hurdles will make for a great race. To make that race even more interesting, Downingtown West's Joshua McLemore is also entered. McLemore won the 200 and 400 meters at indoor states.

In the 800, Pennridge's Tucker Desko will be favored in a field that includes the Abington duo of Keion Broadus and Cameron Mitchell. Last week, Desko displayed his fitness with a 4:02 in the 1500. Springfield's Liam Galligan will face off with Masterman's Joseph Previdi and LaSalle's Eddie Goebel in the 1600.

The high jump should be a closely contested and wide-open event. Penn Charter's Akeem Blake, Perkiomen Valley's Darnell Randall, LaSalle's Alex Sislo, Chester's Braheem Bishop, Coatesville's Dondre Pittman, and Pennridge's Matt Moyer are among the contenders in this one.

Sislo is also entered in the long and triple jumps. In the triple, Upper Darby's Marcques Gibbs and Pennridge's Matt Ludlow will be two of the favorites. In the long, in addition to Sislo, look out for Downingtown West's Darian Alston and St. Joseph's Prep's Isaiah Ritchie.

Wissahickon's Yondell Dudley and Glen Mills' Quadir Gibson will be the two top seeds in the shot put.
