RESULTS

Liberty's Rasia Kochmaruk fell victim to the heat at the EPC Championships on Tuesday at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course. The senior, who won this race as a sophomore and junior, was leading but collapsed in the final 50 yards and had to be helped across the line, disqualifying the defending champion, according to Michael Blouse of the Morning Call.

Stroudsburg's Allana Powlette took the win in 19:22, followed by teammates Amy Conboy was second and Michelle Joyce was third, leading an all-Stroudsburg top three. Not surprisingly, they ran away with the team title, scoring 31 points.

Easton was second and Parkland took third in the girls' race.

Pleasant Valley's Seth Slavin ran away with the boys' race in a time of 16:27. He was second in this race last season.

The Parkland boys dominated the team race, scoring just 32 points for the win. Hailemichael Geiger was second and Sam Morgan was third to lead Parkland to the win. Easton's Joseph Ozgar was fourth as his squad took second with 74 points.

This meet should serve as a preview for next week's District 11 Championships on the same course. The Stroudsburg girls and Parkland boys proved they should be strong favorites to take D11.
