The girls will heat up the track on a cold Friday night, while the boys will be there the next morning for the first of many association meets of the season. Let's delve into what to expect, barring some weather issues.

Division I
SPRINTS: A week after setting fire to the track in the 200 meters, Coatesville's Terrance Laird is entered in the 60 meter dash this weekend. He's US#1 in the 200, so let's see what he can do as he steps down in distance. All eyes will be on Laird on Saturday.
DISTANCE: The 800 will be a battle between a pair of runners that had strong XC seasons. Haverford's James Abrahams and Neshaminy's Rusty Kujdych will make their indoor season debuts, racing the half mile and it should be a good one. The 3000 meters should be competitive with Central Bucks South's Matthew Scarpill, Souderton's Joe Breen, and Central Bucks West's Brian Mass among the entries.
FIELD: There's a wealth of talent competing in the long jump. Upper Dublin's Brian Kauffman, Saint Joseph's Prep's Isaiah Ritchie, Souderton's Shamar Jenkins, Pennridge's Matt Ludlow, and LaSalle's Alex Sislo make up a deep field. Penn Wood's Dennis Manyeah returns to the high jump mat on Saturday. He sits at PA#2 after Williamsport's Qayyim Ali cleared 6-5 to take over Manyeah's top spot. In the pole vault, Hatboro-Horsham's Nick Marino is the heavy favorite. Marino was fourth at indoor states and second oudoors last season.

Division II
SPRINTS/HURDLES: West Catholic's Dajone Averett will be one to watch in the 60-meter hurdles. he was a state qualifier in the event last winter.
DISTANCE: In the mile, there are some strong runners, including West Chester Rustin's Brandon Hontz, Bonner & Prendie's David Whitfield, and Malvern Prep's Peter Borger among some others.
FIELD: The shot put will be the field event to watch. West Chester Rustin's Connor Cummings, fresh off a win at Ursinus to open his season, and Glen Mills' Quadir Gibson, who won at the Delco Winter Meet, will go head-to-head. In the triple jump, watch out for Imhotep's Akeem Cooper and Bonner & Prendie's Ethan Cook.
