Montgomery Invitational (MD) Preview
Below the Mason-Dixon Line, Saturday brings us the Montgomery Invitational. In a meet you can watch live on MileSplit, we've got a few PA teams and individuals to keep an eye on.
Chambersburg is bringing a few individuals down to Maryland for the meet. In what should be a very fast 3200 meters, Abby Yourkavitch is entered. She'll matchup with Maryland Foot Locker finalists Hayley Jackson and Maria Coffin. In the 800 meter, Kaylee Mowery is in the race that includes Jackson as well. In the 1600 meters is Cadie Kiser. In the shot put is PA#6 Kelton Chastulik.
Hershey has some individuals in the field. Andie Demko is entered in the invitational mile, looking for a quick time. Andrew Sullivan, fresh off a strong race at Kevin Dare, is entered in the invitational mile. Look for Lauren Epler is in the 55-meter dash and the 300 meters. The Hershey girls will appear in the 4x800, while we'll see the boys in the DMR.
The Glen Mills boys will also make the trip down. Quadir Gibson is one to watch in the shot put. He's just behind Chastulik in the state rankings at PA#7. Keon Rantin, a favorite to win a state medal later this winter, is the top seed in the 300 meters. The PA#1 there is 34.94 by Bishop Shanahan's Nate Alleyne and Rantin will likely be looking to take that down.
