9. Terri Turner (Penn Wood)

Turner ran a US#2 in the 800 meters for the win, then anchored the PW 4x4 to a state meet record

Terri Turner took out the 800 hard, bringing the field through the first 200 in under 30 seconds. But pre-race favorite Olivia Arizin seized control and tried to run away with the race early on. Turner didn't take the bait and waited behind Arizin a few meters headed into the final 300 meters.

On the final lap, Turner caught her and ran right by her on the final stretch.Turner clocked a 2:08.58, the second fastest time this season in the event (behind only the national record holder, Sammy Watson).

Turner came back later in the meet, looking to help her Penn Wood team defend its state crown in the 4x400 meter relay. Third leg Kyra Carroll gave Turner, the anchor, a solid lead, and there was no stopping Turner from there. Penn Wood wound up with a 3:49.25, a new meet record to close out the meet. The previous record stood since 2005.
