There's been little stopping Harrisburg's Ty'Asia Dansbury this season. The senior has been impressive all season and she had another terrific day at the track on Saturday. Dansbury picked up wins in the 100 meters (12.49), 200 meters (25.82), and the 400 meters (58.31), making it a triple win day.
For a third straight invitational, Connellsville's McKenzie Gelvin won the 800 meters. The senior was impressive once again, taking first in the 2-lapper in a time 2:15.54. Carlisle's Meg Lebo was second in 2:16.84.
Greencastle-Antrim freshman Taryn Parks moved up in distance on Saturday, running her first 3200 meters of her high school career in an invite. Parks, who is PA#1 in the 1600 meters, ran 10:39.75 for the win, moving her up to PA#3. Chambersburg's Abby Yourkavitch was second in a PA#6 10:48.00.
Susquehanna Township's Yasmin Brooks swept the hurdles. Brooks ran 14.43 to win the 100 meter hurdles and 44.98 to win the 300 meter hurdles. That 300 hurdles time is a season best for Brooks, who is the reigning AAA state champ in the event. The Susquehanna Township 4x100 meter relay also ran a PA#849.16 for the win.
Mount Carmel's Maura Fiamoncini, fresh off a runner-up finish at the Penn Relays, won the javelin with a throw of 146-0 to set a new meet record. Current state leader, Ariel Jones of Cedar Crest won the high jump, clearing 5-2. Red Lions's Madisen Kling won the discus with a toss of 133-9.
