Way Too Early Predictions - Boys' PAISAA

Jeffrey Love of the George School was the lone junior in a top six full of seniors. Love has already had a terrific career, but the Friends School League champion and third place PAISAA finisher will look to take the top spot in the PA independent schools

Malvern Prep's Collin Hess made a big impression as a freshman, taking fourth in the Inter-Ac and the PAISAA. His teammate Peter Borger paved the way placing second in the PAISAA this year, and Hess will look for another strong Malvern finish. Speaking of rising Malvern talents, Zachary Brill took 11th in the PAISAA as an eighth grader. As he moves into his freshman year, he and Hess will make for quite the duo.

Germantown Friends' Miles Gomez-Younkin and Germantown Academy's Matt Sandifer are among the other returners from the top ten at PAISAAs last season.

Germantown Friends will go for its fourth straight PAISAA crown, but GFS loses its top three, so the Tigers will need some others to step up next fall. Malvern Prep, fresh off a second place finish to GFS, returns those two young runners, but will also need to add depth. Episcopal Academy loses the PAISAA champ in Elias Lindgren, but have a strong group of returners. The Hill School, too, should be strong.

Prediction

Love runs away with the PAISAA title, capping off a great four years at the George School. Malvern Prep takes back the PAISAA title for the first time since 2014 by less than ten points over Germantown Friends.
