Girls' Recap

Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren started her invite season on a high note. She dominated the 100-meter hurdles, running 13.82, a big PR and PA#1 for the junior. She also won the triple jump with a leap of 39-06.25 to take over the PA#1 spot and won the long jump, too (17-04).

Mary Bernotas of Owen J. Roberts won the 800 meters in 2:19.48 (PA#8). In the 3,200 meters, Allyson Clarke of West Chester East went 11:10.83 for a new PA#5.


Boys' Recap

Kyle Garland of Germantown Academy had a strong start to his outdoor season. The senior rolled to the 110-meter hurdles in 13.69, a huge PA#1 and a US#2. He also won the javelin throw with a toss of 182-01, a PA#9. He went 39.46 to win the 300-meter hurdles in a busy meet.

In the boys' pole vault, Charles Dever of West Chester Rustin picked up the win in a close one over Germantown Academy's Caleb Johnson. Dever cleared 15-06 (PA#2) and Johnson jumped 15-00 (PA#3). Perkiomen Valley's Cole Peterlin cleared 5-07 to win the high jump and move up to PA#3.

In the throws, Alex Martin of Dock Mennonite won the discus with a big toss of 163-07, a PA#2. He was third in AA last year and Saturday marked a nice early season PR.  Olatide Abinusawa of Germantown Academy won the shot put with a PA#6 throw of 52-05.
