At the Cal Track Carnival at California University of PA, Hopewell's Noah Drudy tossed a PA#1 in the javelin. He threw a PR of 194-11 for the win, PR, and state lead. He was eighth in AA at states last year.
At mid-week dual meets, PA#1 and PA#2 in the girls' javelin were set. Mifflin County's Skylar Ciccolini threw 157-07 against State College for the state lead. Elizabeth Forward's Brianna Spirnak threw 149-00 against Thomas Jefferson, the second best throw in the state this season.
At the Molly Dry Invitational at Mansfield University, Athens Area's Breana Gambrell improved upon her own state lead in the long jump. Gambrell leapt 20-00, which is also a US#7 for the win. She also ran 12.04 in the 100 meter prelims (12.06 in the finals) for the win and a new PA#2.
At the Susquehanna High School Classic, the Selinsgrove throwers on both the boys and girls sides had terrific days. Piper Klinger tossed a PR and PA#1 in the discus with a throw of 146-01.5 and also won the shot put with a throw of 41-05. Keith Dreese won the shot put in a PA#4 54-03 and Brennen Wolf won the discus with a throw of 159-10.5 (PA#5).
