Villa Maria Academy (10) looked as sharp as ever on states day to become the champions many predicted they would be back in September. They carried six sub 20 minute runners this season. They graduate four from the squad that started in 6th place in 2011, to 4th, to 3rd, to champions. Scranton Prep made the most of a five senior squad to earn a spot on the podium. 3rd place Quaker Valley will bring back six of seven, including Lucie Kubinski. Northwestern Lehigh lose two from their division best spread, including number 1 Carly Pierce.
New AA champion Ally Rome of Dallas ran the whole race with senior teammate Lindsay Oremus, and the champion will be back to defend. Meanwhile, Oremus joins Karli Visconto of Nazareth Academy and Angel Barber of East Pennsboro as the only seniors in the top 12. Kayla Connelly of Lansdale Catholic finished 5th at states and will be the top junior in the division next season.
