Class A Report: Week 3

St Joseph's Catholic Academy girls continue their good start to the season with a 3rd place finish at the Altoona Invitational with 83 points, just one point behind AA Somerset. They had two top ten finishers and will now head to the PIAA Foundation meet to see state champions Central Cambria for the first time.

Vincentian Academy were the top Class A team at Slippery Rock, defeating Laurel 37-84 with four top ten finishers. Marion Center finished 3rd with 95 points. North East had Taylor Van Tassel return to the team and finish 5th at Boardman in Ohio in 19:47. At full strength, they should get their wheels rolling. These teams will also see action at the Foundation meet on Saturday.

For the boys, Camp Hill won the Class A title at Big Spring without Blake Behney competing. Cooper Leslie and Ian Gabig carried the load on Saturday. They got the best of Delone Catholic and Tuplehocken in that race. Avonworth defeated Northgate at Slippery Rock to win the Class A title by 25 points, with Our Lady of Sacred Heart finishing 3rd.
